How it works:

~ Initial inquiry and discussion with client
~ Get-to-know-you phone or zoom interview with the student
~ Establish their list of colleges/programs (if not already decided)
~ Choose their essay prompts
~ Zero in on their best stories to tell
~ Establish a mutually agreeable schedule of deadlines
~ Assign student some initial brainstorming/listing/outlining/writing tasks
~ The student and I communicate back and forth via a shared Googledoc, with phone and Zoom calls as necessary
~ Student works on their essay(s) at any hour
~ I respond to their latest edits within 24 hours–quicker if we are on a roll or they are running close to deadline.
~ I work with the student until their essay or statement is polished and ready to submit
